Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball

Last weekend Tiffany & Co. hosted their Blue Book Ball at the Rockefeller Center in New York City, and the fashion was plentiful! There were a few dresses that caught my eye, and I felt I needed to do a post on the event. There also were a few that were off the mark, and some that were somewhere in between good and bad, lol. Let's start with my favorite...

I'm pretty sure if you look up "perfection" in the dictionary, enclosed you will find a photo of Kate Hudson in this Reem Acra gown. She is the main reason that I needed to cover this event, because this dress with her in it needs to be seen by all! She is also wearing diamonds by Tiffany's, and her hair & makeup styling are impeccable, as well.

You'll notice that blue is the theme of the evening, and Jessica Biel followed suit in a dark blue, floral and sheer Elie Saab. Her light makeup and Old Hollywood glam hair complete the look. So beautiful!

Carey Mulligan is known for making bold fashion choices, and she certainly did in this Victoria Beckham suit! I tend to not be a big fan of capes, but I love this blazer-cape design, it's very chic. The suit is tailored to perfection, and the deep V of the blazer adds a slice of sexy femininity to the outfit.

Here's Michelle Williams in a navy Kate Emilio dress. I keep vacillating between how I feel about this number. From a distance I like it, but the more I look at it the less positively I feel about it. I think, for me, I just do not understand a structure that adds volume to a woman's hips. Why would anyone ever want that?! Our hips are problematic as they are, why add more volume and attention to them?? It's just a nonsensical design, in my humble opinion.

I really like Alice Eve in this magenta gown, she looks lovely. The top of the dress is very well-fitted and flattering on her, but I hate the shoes with this dress. It was a risk that didn't work, and some strappy heels would do wonders for this look.

Model, Cato Van Ee, is a vision in this silky, powder blue gown. I love the design of the back, and how the dress falls perfectly against her figure.
