NYFW Spring '14 Pt.2

Hello my darlings! As promised, here are more of my favorites from New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Let me know which pieces are your favorite!

~Kate Spade~
 (All photos courtesy of www.stylebistro.com)
How Audrey Hepburn is this look!? From head to toe this is classic femininity at its best.
~Charlotte Ronson~
Something about this jumpsuit drew me in. I think it was first that the cut and tailoring was very well done, so it was able to hug the model in all the right places. Secondly, the beading is beautiful on this piece. And lastly, I love the demure Peter Pan collar juxtaposed by the sexy midriff cutouts.

~Jill Stuart~
Like I mentioned in Monday's post, crop tops are not going anywhere ladies, so hopefully you're a fan, lol. This outfit is somehow both adorable and incredibly sexy all at once, I love that - women are multi-layered, so it's refreshing to find that reflected (even minutely) in our fashion.

This look makes me want to go on a beautifully exotic vacation and amble down the street...perhaps overlooking the Mediterranean sea. It's wonderful when fashion can transport you!

 Absolutely amazing, stunning, perfect.

~Nicole Miller~
I am obsessed with this leather top. The end.

These gold embroidered pants are everything. I'm obsessed with them.

~Kenneth Cole~
I wouldn't recommend wearing this to the office, lol, but this is an incredibly chic and edgy piece to wear out and turn heads ;)

~Richard Chai Love~
Love this top!

NYFW Spring '14 Pt.1

New York Fashion Week took place late last week and through the weekend, and the fashion elite were all in attendance, as were many celebrities. I've been going through the collections and pulling some fantastic pieces to share with you all. I have to split it into two posts because there are so many looks to feature!

~Prabal Gurung~
 (All photos courtesy of www.stylebistro.com)
Love this piece, it's feminine and flirtatious with an edge. The geometric shapes, lace cutout, and bold embellishments make it perfect for the red carpet or in an editorial spread.

~Victoria Beckham~

I love these playful dresses with the mid-thigh hemline. Both are monochromatic with peek-a-boo layer of white underneath. These pieces feel both bold and sweet, and I'm definitely a fan!

~Monique L'huillier~

Monique L'huillier's gowns have me floored. These are so beautiful. The colors so rich, and the material so airy and ethereal while still being perfectly formed to the female silhouette. I love the delicate lace neckline on the top piece, and the ombré coloring in the burgandy piece below. Her designs take my breath away, and that is why she is always one of my favorite designers.

~Hervé Léger by Max Azria~
Ladies, crop tops aren't going anywhere this spring, so it looks like we gotta keep our fitness on! This two-piece look is incredibly sexy, but with a tough edge. It takes a lot of attitude to pull this look off, so you better believe you're one boss betch before taking this number out on the town ;)

~Tadashi Shoji~
Tadashi Shoji makes me want to be the lady I only sometimes am, much to my mother's chagrin, lol. How lovely is the color, shape, and pattern on this dress? The cut is immaculate, and Tadashi Shoji is known to make dresses that fit a woman's body like a glove. This dress makes me want to go to tea!

~Louise Goldin~
I know this piece is weird and fashion-y, but I just love it. It's definitely editorial material, and it's cool as hell. Plus, I love the ruffled socks in the open-toed sandals. No way could I ever pull that off myself, but I love seeing it on the runway.

~Suno~
I'm choosing to ignore the shoes, but I think that we will see this piece on a red carpet sometime. The skirt will probably be hemmed to above the knee, but I know some young starlet (or Gwyneth Paltrow) is going to do this look.

That's all for today loves, which pieces/collections did you guys love from NYFW!? I'll have Part 2 up Wednesday!

Hello Miss Apple Feature!

I have been following the boutique jeweler @HelloMissApple on Instagram for a while now, and found myself quickly becoming a fan of her work. Not only are each of her jewelry pieces adorable, on trend, and well made, but they are also completely affordable for the everyday girl! I wanted to share a few favorites of mine with you guys that I pulled from her site Hello Miss Apple. Be sure to go visit and purchase some of her pieces for your own collection!!

(All photos courtesy of www.hellomissapple.com)
This angel wing anklet is probably one of my absolute favorite pieces on the site! I love the charms and the splash of color added by the turquoise! I'm obsessed with anklets right now, and this one is clutch! Get it here!

I also love this gold infinity anklet! Simple, delicate, lovely :) Get it here!

The sideways chain writing on this love necklace is so perfect! It's such a beautiful detail and makes this piece unique and fresh. Get it here!

Surprise, surprise, the francophile loves the Eiffel Tower necklace, lol! But, it's just soo cute! I love the different sizes and the spacial separation of the two Eiffel Towers on the chain. Get it here cherie!

For someone who is generally not a buyer of wide rings, I think this Heart Double Tiara ring is gorgeous! I like that even though it's a wide ring, it's not chunky, so it still comes off as being a delicate and intricate piece rather than a busy one :) Get it here!

I love the "Best Friends" engraving on the interior of this gold infinity ring. It's like a secret that only you and your closest friends are privy to! I definitely would get this for myself and my girlfriends! Get yours here!

Lastly, I think this bow bracelet is really sweet, and perfect to adorn your wrist on its own or to stack with other bracelets! It's girly without being overbearingly so, and the delicate work is simple and beautiful so you can wear it for a plethora of occasions! Pick yours up here!

Hope you all love these pieces as much as I do, and be sure to stop by Hello Miss Apple to find the perfect piece for you!

Bisous,

Bag It Up

I've been up since 4am, so if I sound incoherent in today's post, it's probably because I am. I'll try not to say much, and let the bags do the talking, lol. We all know the importance of a great bag, especially one that is both stylish and functional. Here are a few that I really like, and, best of all, they're all affordable!

These first three are from H&M, and they're so cool and chic.

I love the gold details and the spikes on the shoulder strap!

How cool is the textured pattern on this purse? I love the design and the tasseled zip :)

Kitty ears on a backpack!!!! That is all.

This clutch from Tobi online is so chic. I love the hand strap for easy grip, and especially the metal skulls adorning the strap and adding some really cool detailing to the piece.

I love this nude, spiked crossbody bag from Urban Outfitters. The nude coloring gives a slightly demure look to the bag, but the spikes add little reminders of the true vixen donning this piece ;)

So, I haven't owned a real wallet in years, and everyone is always telling me I need one (I manage quite alright without one, mind you). However, there is a strong chance that I would actually concede and get this one from Urban Outfitters. I like the jaguar embellishment on the closure and the tasseled zip :)

Mint is a big color this season, and this quilted, mint crossbody bag from Forever 21 is a great way to stay on trend and also on budget! Great style, great color, you can't go wrong with this bag!

Pumped Up Kicks

It's officially September (yay!) and if you're looking to amp up your fall wardrobe, I think you should always start from the bottom up! I love shoes, I mean I really really LOVE shoes, they're magic - they make me so happy no matter what, and they are the key to perfectly executing any outfit. I went on Nasty Gal, and picked some of my favorite pieces! Check them out below ;)
(All photos courtesy of www.nastygal.com)

How amazing are these open-toed heels? The 'Midnight Gold Sandal' is gorgeous with its double ankle straps and gold buckle detailing. What you'll notice on many of the pieces this fall is that metal details are everywhere, and they pretty much elevate any item they are incorporated in.

Take a classic stiletto pump and add an oil-slick finish to the black patent leather, and you end up with the 'Darling Pump.' I like the funky twist on a classic favorite seen here. Not something I would normally find myself attracted to, but it works so well on this shoe, I can't help but love it!

I am not kidding even the slightest bit when I say that I have been in LOVE with these Sam Edelman 'Zoe' boots for three years. They keep reappearing on sites because the demand for them hasn't waned, apparently I'm not the only style addict who is completely taken by these gorgeous booties. Can you blame me!? The quilted detailing is embellished with the silver buckles. The heel is actually a wedge, but the buckles help camouflage them. To say I want these shoes in my closet is an understatement, these exact boots often star in my fashion daydreams (I almost wish I made that up, but it's honestly true)! I need them now, no, yesterday.

These sneakers are so very out of my comfort zone, definitely not my usual style, but I can't help but be drawn to them! I would feel so cool and funky-fresh ambling down the street in these 'Neon Feline Wedge Sneakers!' They make me want to kick up my heels, and also start going back to hip-hop classes, lol ;)

Lastly, here is the ultra hip 'Hyatt Buckled Bootie.' The beauty in these booties is truly in the detailing - the metal detailing, that is. The metal caps on the heel and toe look slick and add both a chic and badass quality to the boot. Additionally, the silver plate on the front with the buckled straps furthers the sleek, cool exterior aesthetic of these shoes. I adore these booties, they could be worn with so many different types of outfits!

So who wants to go shoe shopping!? I'm still pining over the Sam Edelman 'Zoe' boots, they're like that guy you always wanted to date, but never did, and now you find out you're both single at the same time...do you go for it?? I hope so! Let's do it, lol!
