Style Spotlight: Lily Collins

Actress Lily Collins' star has been rising over the past few years, and with the upcoming Mortal Instruments franchise, she is about to blow up! I remember having a class with her in college and how sweet she always was, as well as stunning. She is the type of girl who has remained grounded and humble despite her fame, and I'm rooting for her ongoing success. Not only is she a lovely girl, but she has incredible style, as well! She has an amazing natural beauty and presence about her that she lets shine in her street style by keeping things chic and simple. I love that she takes risks with her red carpet style, which she pulls off seamlessly. She grew up in the UK and I feel that you can see a European flair to her style - the bold choices she makes both on and off the red carpet reflect aspects of London high fashion, which I love! Let's take a little tour through Lily's style :)

Style Spotlight: Blake Lively

When Blake Lively first emerged on the scene after filming The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, few would have foreseen the bonafide style icon she would soon become. After landing Gossip Girl, the actress' style both on and off-screen gained plenty of attention in the fashion world. She is pretty much the only actress to always land on the Best Dressed list who doesn't have a personal stylist in Hollywood - that's incredibly impressive. Personally, I am always excited to see her on the red carpet or in a magazine editorial. I love the fashion choices she makes, and how effortless she keeps her looks even in the most glamorous couture. Let's take a peek at some of Blake's amazing red carpet and street style!

Weekend Inspo!

Here's some positivity and motivation to take us into the weekend my loves!

Fashion:
I'm actually not a huge fan of stripes, but I love this skirt with this leather jacket! The jacket balances out the print of the skirt and gives it a bit of an edge. I seriously can't wait until it's cool enough to wear jackets and layers again, I looove fall fashion!

Beauty:
I love this ash blonde hair color. I wish I could get my hair this color!

Spirit:
I'm currently working on being more patient with myself, so I need these little reminders :)

Have a beautiful weekend darlings!

Arsenic and Old Lace

Jacket: Silence & Noise (for Urban Outfitters), Top: American Apparel, Shorts: Forever 21, Shoes: Michael Kors, Lipstick: Milani Cosmetics in "Chocolate Berries" find it here!, Watch: Michael Kors

Hello beauties! How is everyone's week going, anything exciting happening!? I have too much going on to even wrap my head around, so I'm just all over the place, surprise surprise, lol. Anyways, today's outfit is great for a night out in the summer. I would wear this to get dinner and cocktails or to a house party or lounge. The outfit is comprised of basics that I'm sure most of you already have in your closets: a blazer, a lace or sheer top, shorts, and heels. Plus, if you haven't already experimented with the dark lip 90's throwback, YOU SHOULD!

I originally threw this outfit together to see a musical at the last minute with a friend of mine, but quickly made note that it could be my go-to look for semi-casual evenings out! The blazer is fitted so that it still flatters the form, and the lace top provides just enough skin to make it a "going out" look ;) My faux leather shorts are fun and comfortable, and allow for my ankle strap heels to have a moment to shine.

For accessories, I wore my favorite lipstick: "Chocolate Berries" from Milani Cosmetics found here. It's fascinating how something as simple as a shade of lipstick can completely change the look of an outfit, as well as your attitude. This dark lip ties the look together, making it sleek, sexy, and playful. When I wear this shade I feel sexy and confident, like a woman who knows what she wants! As silly as it sounds, it's a powerful feeling, and I urge you to take a chance and try a plum lip shade if you haven't. You may think it's not for you, but I promise it will look great, just find the exact right shade for you! Lastly, I wore my rose-gold watch by Michael Kors as a statement jewelry piece. I love this watch, especially layering it with different bracelets :)

Alright BBs, that's all for today. Have a great Wednesday <3

Bad B*tches

Beanie: Brandy Melville, Jacket: Rubbish, Top: Brandy Melville, Shorts: Klik B., Shoes: Aldo

 "I love bad b*tches that's my f*ckin' problem" - A$AP Rocky "F*ckin' Problem"

Sometimes I get so tired of always being the good girl and doing the right thing...sometimes you just need to let go for a bit, and be bad ;)

My Brandy Melville LA beanie always makes me feel a little badass. Even though I'll forever be a good girl at heart, it's fun to pretend for a little! Besides, I believe every girl has some badass in them, we're just good at concealing it when we need to so we don't scare the men, lol. Today's post is about embracing your inner badass and being a boss ;)

This outfit is very simple, the summer heat makes it necessary to keep the clothing light. I love the neckline of this tank from Brandy Melville, and I paired it with cutoffs and my spiked loafers. Normally I would wear boots, but I decided to try something different. I also kept my camo jacket handy to toss over in case it got chilly in the evening.

Alright BBs, make sure to do something wild & spontaneous today...even if it's just as simple as getting a frappucino instead of your usual latte ;) Love you guys!

Weekend Inspo!

Hello darlings! Here is a little inspiration and positivity to take us into the weekend :) Enjoy!

Fashion:
 (All photos courtesy of www.pinterest.com)
I love the combination of colors and textures here, as well as the mix of seasons. Combining a knit grey sweater with velvet burgandy shorts creates an adorable and clever ensemble. As simple of a look at is it, I find it completely lovely :)

Beauty:
Here is a beauty shot of one of my favorite British actresses, Kaya Scodelario. Of Brazilian roots, the Skins actress is a natural beauty and completely enchanting. I love the smoky eyes here in this look, allowing her blue eyes to pop. I've always loved freckles, I think they're beautiful, and I love that they didn't cover hers here :)

Spirit:
Follow your dreams and your heart, always.

Have a beautiful weekend BBs!

Summer Nights

Top: Tobi.com, Shorts: Forever 21, Shoes: Dolcetta by Dolce Vita, Bag: Forever 21

I don't know about the rest of you, but for me here in LA, I haven't been able to sleep through a night without air-conditioning on in my apartment. It's so hot here! So today's outfit is for those nights when you need to cool off, go out, and recharge yourself!

Since it's hot out in the evenings, no jacket is necessary, and you have plenty of reason to display as much skin as you dare ;) Personally, I like to keep it classy even when I'm showing a bit more skin, because I'm still going to a bar or venue and need to be presentable! I love this corset top from Tobi Online because it's so versatile. For one, it's incredibly flattering to the silhouette, and two, it can be worn more casually or dressed up for an occasion.

I paired my top with my faux leather shorts from Forever 21. They're so comfortable and I can pair them with a plethora of outfits. I topped the look with my black and gold studded, crossbody bag ffom Forever 21 - perfect for nights out because it's chic and keeps my hands free!

Alright BBs, I need to go because I took some allergy medicine and it is making me woozy. Seriously, I nodded off at least 5 times while writing this post, so hopefully my writing ends up being somewhat coherent to you guys. Oh boy. I should sleep now, definitely.

Sugar Venom

Top: Brandy Melville, Skirt: Brandy Melville, Shoes: BDG for Urban Outfitters

Not even they can stop me now
Boy, I’ll be flying overhead
Their heavy words can’t bring me down
Boy I've been raised from the dead

No one even knows how hard life was
I don't even think about it now because
I've finally found you
Oh, sing it to me

Now my life is sweet like cinnamon
Like a fucking dream I'm living in
Baby love me cause I'm playing on the radio
(How do you like me now?)

Pick me up and take me like a vitamin
'Cause my body's sweet like sugar venom oh yeah
Baby love me cause I'm playing on the radio
(How do you like me now?)
- "Radio" by Lana Del Rey

Hi BBs, I want to take note, briefly, that I know this weekend was a difficult one for many. There are multiple news stories filled with tragic events befalling us all over the country and world at the moment. I believe it is easy to succumb to much of these somber events and allow it to bring you down, however, I urge you to hold your head high. Sometimes the most we can do is try our best to forgive those around us, and focus on bettering ourselves in hopes that we can create a brighter future :)

With that said, let's lighten up with some fashion talk! As my faithful readers know by now, I am a lover of all things Brandy Melville, so it's no surprise that this outfit is a Brandy one! It's easy to feel girlish and giddy in this adorable navy, floral print skirt. I love that it's high-waisted and has button down enclosures ensuring that it is both flattering and paying a bit of a homage to the 90's (my favorite decade).

I love the cut of this white tank. The high neckline with the narrow shape around the décolletage adds a lovely detail to an otherwise simple top. Obviously, when wearing a printed bottom, you want to keep everything else in your outfit simple, so as not to divert attention from the print (aka the main act!). I finished the look off with my canvas, platform sneakers! They are so cute and also add some 90's style due to the platform.

I haven't written a post this long in a while, but it feels nice to be chatty every now and then ;) I'll cap it here though, lol. Have a beautiful day my loves!
