Behind the Scenes...

Hi loves! So over the weekend I worked on a music video, and wanted to give you guys a little glimpse into my makeup transformation for the shoot!

Super sleepy and unhappy about my 7am call time, lol. No makeup, no problem ;)

Makeup done, now for the hair...

So much makeup!!

Hair did, now ready to shoot! PS: I know my eyes look humongous, lol

Wouldn't have survived the day without these gorgeous girls :)

Camera riggggg

Last scene in a towel, hahahah...because we all have full makeup on after a shower, right!? Nope.

Doing what I do best: being a goof behind the bar :)

All wrapped and ready to go home, eat some carbs, and pass out!!

Hope you guys liked this geeky little glimpse behind the scenes ;)

Best Dressed: Grammys

I have one word that sums up the Grammys red carpet & show perfectly: BEYONCÉ.

Now I'll admit, the Grammy Awards aren't my favorite red carpet, because it tends to consist of some serious hot messes. HOWEVER, these six ladies owned the red carpet, and must have a spotlight shown on their immaculate ensembles! Without further adieu, I give you...

Queen Bey
(all photos courtesy of
That opening number was perfection, and basically everything we've come to expect from BeyoncĂ©, because she spoils us with every performance she graces us with! Her sexy bob haircut was trending on twitter, further emphasizing her style influence. She brought her Queen status to the red carpet in this stunning white, lace Michael Costello gown. I bow down to Queen Bey ;)

Metallics were hot on the red carpet, and Taylor Swift stayed fashion forward when she stepped out in this beautiful column Gucci Premiere dress!

One of the most gorgeous expecting mothers, Ciara was absolutely glowing on the red carpet in this metallic Emilio Pucci gown!

A svelte Miranda Lambert was classic and stunning in this red Pamella Roland dress.

Supermodel Chrissy Teigen made jaws drop in this exquisite metallic Johanna Johnson gown. Husband John Legend (wearing Gucci) was already a winner with her on his arm :)

Oscar nominated actress (and a beautiful vocalist), Anna Kendrick, looked every bit the A-list actress she is in this Azzaro gown ;)

Who were your favorites!? Hope y'all have a wonderful start to your week!

Weekend Inspo!

What a busy week BBs! Even though it was a "shorter" week because of the holiday (MLK Day!), did it feel longer to anyone else? Maybe it's just because there's so much going on.... Anyways, I'm working this weekend, so I know I could definitely use some inspo to keep me motivated! Hope y'all enjoy ;)

(All photos courtesy of
Ziad Nakad Couture 2014 - Absolutely stunning. The structure, beaded detailing, cut, everything is truly breathtaking about this gown.

I looove the smoky eye and nude lip combo here. It looks clean and polished, yet completely sultry, at the same time.

My mother has always said (and sometimes sang) this saying to me ever since I was a little girl. And it still (and likely will always) stand true :)

Have a beautiful weekend lovelies!

Best Dressed: 2014 SAG & Critics Choice Awards

Happy Monday lovebugs!! Now that awards season is in full swing, there's always couture to catch up on! Over the weekend the SAG Awards and Critics Choice Awards took place, and here are some of my favorite looks from the red carpet. Let me know your favorites!!
 (Photos courtesy of
Lupita Nyong'o is on fashion fire ladies and gentlemen. Here she is at the SAG Awards in a gorgeous, turquoise Gucci column dress with Fred Leighton jewelry. She is just perfection.

Amy Adams is wearing a stunning dark blue, asymmetrical Antonio Bernardo gown with Cartier jewelry. Very couture.

Sandra Bullock looked every bit the Oscar winner in this beautiful, emerald Lanvin dress adorned with Fred Leighton jewelry.

Mindy Kaling is beautiful in this deep navy David Meister dress, which perfectly flattered her silhouette.

I mean, really, are you even surprised that she's on here twice?? Lupita Nyong'o owned the red carpet at the Critic's Choice awards in this white, cutout Calvin Klein gown. She and her stylist are killing it! I would love to see her helm a major fashion campaign next season, such as for Louis Vuitton.

I love, love, LOVED Margot Robbie in her lace Elie Saab jumpsuit at the Critic's Choice Awards! Who cares about wolves on Wallstreet when you've got a fox on the red carpet!? (See what I did there!?) ;)

American Hustle actress Elisabeth Rohm was flawless in this cream colored Marchesa gown with Martin Katz jewelry. Absolutely beautiful.

While not everyone may be a fan of this Pamela Roland dress on Sarah Hyland, I love the soft color and delicate cut. She looked youthful and balletic. Her Lorraine Schwartz jewels furthered her look and glow for the evening!

Which looks were your favorites? I'd love to know!

Weekend Inspo!

Some inspiration to make sure you all start the weekend off with a smile!

I love the earthy tones and layers in this look. The fabrics look soft and lush, and I would wear this for a cozy night in or a fun day out :)

I love the simplicity of this look. Her makeup doesn't wear or defy her, but rather, her natural beauty is what shines in this look.

Don't forget how important you are :)

Have a beautiful weekend BBs!

Product Review: Sephora Jumbo Glossy Lip Pencil

Hi BBs! So today I'm doing a brief review on a recently purchased product: the "Pastel Pop Jumbo Glossy Lip Pencil" from Sephora Collection! This lip product looks like a fat pencil, but applies like a gloss!
With several shades to choose from, I went with the "Pale Pink." The pencil applies on very smoothly and easily while adding both color and shine. I love that it's not sticky whatsoever, but makes my lips feel nourished and almost velvety! Sephora also notes that the pencil can also be applied to cheeks to keep the shine going and tie your look together!

Verdict: I love this product, it's already my new favorite. This shade goes with anything, which is perfect for on-the-go touch ups. And, BONUS, it's a great boyfriend gloss, because you can have smooth and shiny lips without any of the stickiness that boys tend to loathe ;)

Go find your perfect shade at any Sephora store or online at Sephora!

Golden Globe Awards: 10 Best Dressed

I love awards season almost solely for fashion watch! It's so fun to see if some of the pieces I loved from fashion week made it onto the red carpet! The Golden Globes ran pretty smoothly this year - kinda boring but there were some definite highlights (like Tina & Amy calling out Leonardo DiCaprio for his modelizing ways...I nearly fell out of my seat laughing!). And, really, nothing can go wrong with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting (side note: I screamed in joy that Amy FINALLY won for Parks & Rec!). Here are my 10 BEST DRESSED from the 2014 Golden Globe Awards:
(All photos courtesy of
Kate Beckinsale looked stunning (seriously, the woman is always perfection) in this silver Zuhair Murad gown. I love the art deco design in the detailing, and the fit-n-flare shape.

When Amber Heard took the stage tonight, I couldn't take my eyes off of her and those legs, goodness gracious! She looked like a powerhouse in this beautiful, asymmetrical Versace gown.

I looove Olivia Wilde pregnant! She is absolutely radiant, and I love that she wore this emerald green, form-fitting gown by Gucci to accentuate her lovely shape!

Loved this Prabal Gurung piece on the runway at NYFW last spring, and I love it perhaps even more on Zoe Saldana!

What a gorgeous pop of color and serious fashion moment for the lovely Lupita Nyong'o. She was a showstopper in this red, caped Ralph Lauren gown!

Sarah Paulson looked delicate and lovely in this lace Marchesa dress.

I really love this Rani Zakhem piece on Kaley Cuoco. It's a risk, and it took my breath away. The vintage-looking, artistic, pastel floral print was divine, and I love the corset bodice.

Simple, elegant, and beautiful: Taylor Schilling looks like a classic starlet in this emerald green Thakoon dress.

Finally, some drama!!! Sofia Vergara OWNED the red carpet in this stunning, black Zac Posen gown. I love the fitted bodice and the full flowing skirt. The best part? Her statement turquoise necklace by Lorraine Schwartz. I'm in fashion heaven here.

It's almost annoying how gorgeous of a couple they are, but my eyes were glued to Jenna Dewan-Tatum in this beautiful, black & white Roberto Cavalli dress!

Alright BBs, what do you think? Anyone you would have nominated for best or worst dressed? I'd love to hear from you!!

Weekend Inspo!

It's Friday folks, which means it's time for some fun inspo to carry us through the weekend! What a great week it's been to get back into the swing of things! I'm so excited to resume blogging and have some great posts planned ahead!! Now, let's get inspired ;)

I love the high neck, lace, and asymmetrical silhouette of this dress. It's so sultry and sophisticated.

Smoky eyes accomplished with turquoise and gold is both unique and beautiful here. Plus, I love the nude lip and bold eyebrows, the focus able to remain on the eyes :)

(All photos courtesy of
Have a beautiful weekend my loves, and I'll see you next week!!

PS: I'm still trying to figure out why the "Members" gadget isn't working, and am hoping Blogger will figure it out. In the meantime, if any of you have suggestions, let me know! I tried removing and re-adding the gadget/widget/whatever, but it still isn't working :(
