Pinteresting: Cutoff Casual

 (All photos courtesy of www.pinterest.com)

To follow suit from my Monday post, I wanted to stay on point with one of my favorite clothing items: denim cutoffs! Today we'll take a look at a few outfits/looks I found on Pinterest that are similar to my style of dress, and which also inspire me and give me outfit ideas! They are all casual looks, but still pretty damn cool and chic ;) You'll notice lots of layering this season, and that's no different with cutoff outfits. In this first photo, we have the airy tee accompanied with lots of layered jewelry to dress up the look.

How cute is this outfit?! I love the plaid top layered under an infinity scarf. AND, she's wearing sheer tights with thigh-high stockings over them. Trés chic. I definitely want to recreate this look in the future!

I love pairing shredded cutoffs with chunky, loose sweaters like this one! The sweater also bares a little shoulder, which is such a subtle tease ;) I also really like the oversized bag with this outfit and the layered necklaces, as well.

Although I found all these looks via Pinterest, I know that this photo and the one below are from NastyGal. How do I know? Because I recognize the outfit...and the model....I'm on that site a lot, lol. Anyways, I love grey cutoffs paired with a shredded rock tee. It's just such a cool look!

I wear this look a lot: shredded cutoffs, loose tank, plaid button down, and sheer tights. It's a winner in my book ;) I also love the strappy bralette in this outfit that they styled to peek-a-boo out the top of the tank. It's a touch of sexy in an otherwise tomboy-ish look. The layered jewelry, again, is great too, and adds a bit of style and finesse to the outfit.

Lastly, here's another outfit I wear often: cutoffs with a leather jacket. The billowy tank and shredded cutoffs add an heir of casual effortlessness, and the leather jacket brings an element of chic badassness to the table. I'm not sure that "effortlessness" or "badassness" were words before, but they are now, lol! Also, I adore the studded back pockets of these shorts, such a great detail!

Nowhere, Everywhere

Top: Brandy Melville, Jacket: Rubbish, Shorts: Klique B., Shoes: Converse, Lipstick: Milani Cosmetics "Chocolate Berries" (found here!), Lipliner: Milani Cosmetics "Cocoa" (found here!)

Hi BBs!! How was everyone's weekend? Did you miss me!? I missed you ;)

Today we have a casual go-to outfit that I find myself wearing often in LA during the warmer weather....which is most of the time, lol. As most of you know by now, I'm obsessed with Brandy Melville. Their clothes are a staple of my wardrobe, and here I am wearing my Brandy NY/LA top :) Per usual for Brandy Melville, it's an adorable top that fits easily, is soft, comfortable, and flattering. You can't go wrong in this. I paired it with my other warm weather basics: denim cutoffs and Chucks, both are must-haves. If it gets chilly in the evening, I have my green utility jacket to toss on!

The real star of this outfit is my lipstick, provided by the wonderful Milani Cosmetics! I started with their liner in "Cocoa" (link above), which really helped keep the look clean and sharp, and provided a good base so the lipstick stayed in place rather than fade! The actual lipstick, "Chocolate Berries," (link above) goes on so smoothly, and is extremely moisturizing. I'm obsessed with this color, and have been wearing it constantly. Rich, bold, dark lip shades like this are HUGE on the red carpet and runways right now, so with this shade you can be both on trend AND just generally stunning! That's a win-win in my book ;) And believe me, you'll be turning heads left and right with this lip shade!

See you Wednesday darlings!

I Want It

TGIF kittens!! Spring is here, and it is time to start looking for some cute mini-dresses to sport! Here are some items I found that I just adore, and think you will too :) All the dresses in today's post are from Planet Blue, and they are so cute. This first one is the Renzo + Kai silk Lola dress. I just love the design of the jeweled detailing and embroidery. It's so pretty and can easily be worn day-to-night!

I love these studded and buckled booties, named Pubin, from Steve Madden. They look so cool and effortless, and hopefully they're comfortable as well! You know I'm a sucker for studs ;)

Here we have this LBD from Planet Blue with two mini slits at the bottom. It's by For Love & Lemons and called the Little Girl Blue dress. I like that it's so simple while remaining inherently sexy, as well! A must have!

It's nearly sandal season, and these spiked "Jelybely" sandals from Steve Madden are perfect to show your toesies off in! I like the nude color of the sandal, allowing you to wear them with most outfits :)

We close out with a little white dress, which you know I love! This is the Cameo VCR dress, also found at Planet Blue. It's just adorable and a great summer dress! I would love to put flowers in my hair and prance around in this dress along the beach ;)

So now that I have you all fantasizing about summertime, I hope you have a great weekend, lol!

Pinteresting: Jewelry Trends

 (All photos courtesy of www.pinterest.com)

Hey BBs! Today I wanted to take a look at a few jewelry trends/looks I'm currently enamored with! I've been loving the layering/stacking of thin gold bracelets this year. There are so many different types of bracelets you can layer to achieve this look. I'm fond of the ones with writing on them, or a symbol :)

Anklets are back!! And not just any anklets, but beautiful, ornately jeweled ones such as this one above! I love the rose gold, the double layer, and especially the drop down jewel (a cross on this one). It's a delightful piece of foot jewelry, and I would love to rock it ;)

I love the midway rings I've been seeing lately, they're so cool and cute! I love to stack rings, but getting smaller ones for the top of my fingers just opened up so many more options lol!

So in case you haven't already noticed, layering is what's up right now with jewelry. And that is still the case when it comes to necklaces. This is wonderful for someone supremely indecisive, like me, because now you don't have to decide on just one necklace to wear, put several on! I love the gold discs, angel wings, and all the different lengths of the necklaces :)

I like bows, a lot. They're adorable and my girly side swoons at the sight of them, lol. These silver and diamond studded bow earrings are just so darling and lovely! They can be worn for everyday or as an added delicate touch for a night out. I want them :)

Lastly, I love necklaces, bracelets, and rings that say things. So, this "amour" necklace is right up my alley :) It's sweet and simple. I like the thin chain, and how the necklace lays delicately on your décolletage! There are such a plethora of these "worded" jewelry pieces now, you can find ones that say nearly anything you like, or get them personalized with your name :)

That's all for today my loves. I hope you like these pieces and that they give you new ideas to try if you aren't already utilizing these trends ;)

Spring Breakers L.A. Premiere

 (All photos courtesy of www.stylebistro.com)

How was everyone's St. Patrick's Day!? Fun and safe I hope :) Let's dive into some fashion and get this Monday going! The "Spring Breakers" L.A. Premiere was this weekend, and I was impressed by some of the looks I saw on the carpet. I feel like during this press tour, we've really seen Selena Gomez blossom in terms of her style and fashion choices. She once again impressed in this gorgeous, red Reem Acra gown. I love the Grecian touch to it and the sheer, lace cutouts that further flatter her figure. This was a winner in my eyes.

Vanessa Hudgens took a style risk with this Naeem Khan gown...and it worked! Normally, I would expect someone as petite as her to be overwhelmed by a voluminous gown like this, but she pulled it off, and well! The beaded bodice is so bold and beautiful, and the ostrich feather skirt makes a dramatic statement on the carpet. I don't remember the gown having a slit in it on the runway, but I love that she added it and made it her own!

I thought Shay Mitchell looked so fresh and gorgeous in this Sachin+Babi dress! The sweetness of the white top is balanced by the black, leather skirt that also has sheer strips running through it. She paired it with strappy Jimmy Choo heels and smokey eyes to complete her look.

Orange is definitely a tough color for most to pull off, but Ashley Tisdale managed to do just that in this adorable ONE by Geo minidress. The textured embroidery on the dress is beautiful, and the color complements her glowing skin perfectly! Although, she should have made sure to tan her feet too, so we don't see the tan line around her ankles (no worries Ashley, it's a minor oops!).

Have a great day everyone, see you Wednesday ;)

I Want It

 (All photos courtesy of www.nastygal.com)

TGIF BBs!! Today we are taking a look at some pieces that caught my eye and are on my "wish list." All of the items we're looking at today are from Nasty Gal - I just love everything they have :) This first dress is their "Kiss Me Dress." I love the pastel coloring for the spring, as well as the chiffon skirt. The structured top has boning in it to allow for a great fit. And I think my favorite parts are the tied arm straps - they're just so feminine and sweet!

Something you should know about me: I adore having flowers in my hair. Maybe it's some kind of closet-inner-hippie in me, but I'm a sucker for the hair flora! Therefore, you can imagine my freakish excitement over a flower crown like this "Rose Bloom Crown." I NEED this piece, seriously. It's just so fun, youthful, and feminine! Plus, it puts me in the perfect Spring/Summer mood :)

How cool is this jacket!? What an awesomely badass statement piece! I'm honestly not sure that I'm cool enough to pull it off, but I think it's more about exuding confidence and a great attitude when you wear a bold piece like this ;) Not only do I love the color of the jacket, but I'm also a fan of the quilting on it. As an added bonus, it's vegan leather, so no animals were harmed in the making of this sexy time jacket, lol!

I want these boots in my closet immediately, if not sooner!! I just love the detailing on these booties! The studs on the heels, the metal details on the the toe and top, the tassled zip, and perfect heel height make this shoe THE shoe ;)

I have always, and will always adore white mini-dresses. So, obviously I was a fan of this dress. The boat shape of the neckline is great to show off your décolletage, and the scalloped detailing of the neckline is just too cute! I like the half sleeves, and think they make the dress toe the line between sweet and sexy, which is great! This is a dress you can wear with flats during the day, and then dress-up for the evening to go out ;)

I've had my eye on a cropped, long-sleeved black top for a while now, so when I saw this one I knew I wanted to showcase it for all of you! I think the leather embellishments on the shoulders are a great detail, but overall I like the simplicity of the top. It can be worn in many different ways and with a plethora of looks, so it's a totally justifiable purchase, right!? Lol ;)

Anyways, I better stop before I go on a shopping spree! I hope you all like these items, too, and have a great weekend!!

Joie

Sweater: H&M, Shorts: BDG at Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Michael Kors, Tights: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors

Happy Wednesday kittens!! I hope everyone's week is going well! I've been extra busy, but also extra happy spending most of my time partaking in or watching improv at UCB (if you live in LA or NYC you should go see shows there!).

Today's look makes me quite happy, too! It's simple, cute, and can work for any number of occasions. We start with a cream, chunky knit sweater from H&M. The fabric is warm, soft, and cozy - perfect for late winter/early spring weather! I wore them over my burgandy, high-waisted cutoffs from Urban Outfitters. I just love the color - I'm obsessed with all the burgandy pieces and lips we've been seeing on trend.

For shoes, I wore my gray, suede Michael Kors booties. My Mom found them on sale and got them for me... I know, my Mom is crazy awesome ;) I just love these shoes, Michael Kors makes great pumps and boots - always chic and always comfortable!

Alright loves, I'm off, but I'll see you on Friday!

Gods & Monsters

Top: Forever 21, Pants: Silence + Noise, Boots: Dolcetta by Dolce Vita, Watch: Michael Kors

In the land of Gods and Monsters
I was an angel
Living in the garden of evil
Screwed up, scared, doing anything that I needed
Shining like a fiery beacon

You got that medicine I need
Fame, liquor, love, give it to me slowly
Put your hands on my waist do it softly
Me and God, we don't get along, so now I sing
  - Lana Del Rey "Gods & Monsters"

Did you guys feel like this weekend went by faster than usual? Maybe it's the whole "spring forward" time change messing with me...probably not. Oh well, on to today's look....

Today's look is great for a cool night out. The type of night where you don't want to be too casual, but there's no need to be overly dressed-up either. This outfit is great for a chic look that's also extremely comfortable!

We have my off-white lace (doily-like) top that's both sweet and sexy, and I toughened it up by pairing it with faux leather leggings :) The leggings feel like a second skin and are incredibly comfortable! They hug you in just the right way, and may even bring out your inner vixen ;) My chunky Dolcetta booties and Michael Kors rose-gold statement watch top off the look and complete this easy, evening outfit!

Alright loves, that's all for today. Have a great Monday, I'm off to the Paleyfest panel for "New Girl" tonight, looking forward to seeing my doppelganger Hannah Simone :)

Paris Fashion Week

(All photos courtesy of www.stylebistro.com and www.zimbio.com)

Bonjour mes cheries! As you may know, Paris Fashion Week (PFW) has been taking place, and I've been trying to keep up with all the couture! What I've really been loving though, is what I've been seeing the celebrities in attendance wearing! First off, we start with the enchanting Lily Collins. She never fails to impress me with her style prowess, and she didn't let me down at the Louis Vuitton show! I love this collared, nude & black patterned mini-dress. It's chic, delicate, and lovely. I'm especially obsessed with her Vuitton structured bag - perfection. Her high-bun and dark lips add the magic touch to complete her already flawless look!

Also in attendance at the Louis Vuitton show was Elizabeth Olsen. The indie princess has already been moving up the style icon ranks, and I love her embroidered LV coat here. Paired with her leather leggings and stilettos, she looks trés chic ;)

Amanda Seyfried at Miu Miu. I don't even know where to begin. There isn't one detail of this look that I'm not completely obsessed with. To me, this is head to toe perfection! The tailoring of her pantsuit is immaculate and the color is gorgeous. I love the Miu Miu heels and bag. Her hair is shiny and styled perfectly, and her make-up is EVERYTHING. OMG the berry lipstick is honestly what makes the outfit for me. It's such a rich, stunning statement lip, and it just ties everything together so incredibly well.
Fresh off the Oscars, Jessica Chastain was making the rounds all over PFW. To the left, we see her in a partial sheer embroidered pant for the Givenchy show. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, what about you? I will say, though, that I love her hair and makeup here. To the right, she was at the Louis Vuitton show, and I think what I really love is her cerulean blue cross-body bag :)
Here's Nicole Richie looking lovely at the Valentino show. I just loved this coat she wore outside the show so much! The high ruffled collar, and the straight fit just complemented her so well :) I also love her soft up-do with the braid and a few whispy strands hanging down. It's a little ethereal, but so sweet and delicate as well. I normally wouldn't be crazy about this dress, but it just seems to fit PFW, so I like it, lol!

Lastly, we have Jessica Alba looking like a style vision at the Stella McCartney show. I love this pantsuit, it is so well tailored and fit. The skinny bottoms of the pants add a youthful and modern edge to the classic women's suit. I love her ankle strap pumps, they are so sexy! Her over-sized clutch is also a great style detail. To finish it, her perfectly tousled hair and natural, glowy makeup make her whole look appear effortless and beautiful!

Alright lovelies, that's all for today! Have a wonderful weekend...

The Other

Top: TopShop, Skirt: H&M, Tights: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: lulus.com

"I could say you’re special, to me.
We’re connected by magnetic charges of electricity.
Our eyes lock. I touch, you feel
and the world makes sense again."
~ excerpt from the poem "The Other" by Alejandra Creixell

How are you guys surviving the week? I'm already exhausted and we're only halfway there! Anyways, let's take a life break and talk about the clothes :)

My regulars may remember, back in December I posted about this top as a great buy for holiday gifts...well, I couldn't resist, and had to have it for myself, lol! It's a mid-turtleneck but not at all constricting, and it doesn't make your neck look shortened. The fabric is almost velvet with the pearls and beads sewn over. There's a zip in the back, and the cropped fit is so comfortable, and also figure flattering.

I paired my top with this high-waisted skater skirt from H&M. All I want to do when I wear this skirt is twirl around, but I generally try to contain myself, lol! Underneath, I wore my sheer tights from H&M and topped them with my double-strap Mary-Jane pumps :)

I hope you all like the mix of black&white photos today, my wonderful photographer and I had so much fun playing around during this shoot! See you Friday...
